From the composer's preface: From early childhood,the sound of the organ had the deepest effect on me - so much so,in fact,that I often attended church services,whatever their denomination,just to hear one more plagal cadence. 10 Organ Interludes is my way of paying homage to the king of instruments. They may serve as preludes,interludes or meditations,or supplemental repertoire for organ students.
